Ms. Winters joined the MedAssist team in 2002. With more than 25 years of healthcare management experience, she brings an exceptional reputation in the healthcare field, as well as a strong understanding of operations and a dedication to high quality service delivery. Prior to joining MedAssist, Ms. Winters held the position of vice president, patient business services for Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, Alabama. She has also held progressive information systems and revenue cycle leadership positions within the same health system of 10 hospitals. Most recently, Ms. Winters served as division president, operations at MedAssist.

Ms. Winters has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association since 1989 and recently served as president for the Alabama Chapter and 2009-10 regional executive at the national level. Ms. Winters has received numerous awards including the 2006-07 Robert M. Coates Outstanding Member of the year award and the 2007-08 Medal of Honor award.

Ms. Winters received her B.S. in Computer Science from Troy State University.
