Louisville, KY. (July 17, 2008) - MedAssist, Incorporated pledged a generous donation to the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis today. The donation demonstrates MedAssist's dedication to assist Indiana residents and local businesses recover from the recent area flooding.
MedAssist's donation is among the major corporate donations the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis has received. John Lyter, Chief Executive Officer of the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis, said, "MedAssist's generous and significant gift allows the American Red Cross to continue its efforts providing emergency assistance to the tens of thousands of Indiana victims affected by the recent tornadoes and flooding. Donations go toward providing emergency shelter, food and supplies, replacement of prescription medications, mental health services, and a number of other much-needed services for individuals and families trying to recover from the devastation affecting many communities in Indiana. President George W. Bush declared federal aid distributed to the following 29 Indiana counties: Bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clay, Davies, Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Greene, Henry, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Monroe, Morgan, Ohio, Owen, Ripley, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Union, Vermillion, Vigo and Wayne.
