Patient Service Representatives work with patients at local hospitals and by telephone to establish their eligibility for public aid programs (Medicaid/Charity). They guide patients through the application process for programs. They work with caseworkers and other agencies that provide the benefits. Some travel may be required as we place applications on behalf of patients, travel into the community to take patients to appointments and visit the Medicaid offices on occasion. We are looking for candidates with strong customer service skills, social work/Medicaid experience is helpful, bilingual skills are a plus, a high school diploma is required, and a degree in the social sciences field is preferred but not required.
